Aurelia B. Rowl is Jumping for Joy... Literally!

7/4/2013

With two books out and contracts for two book series already under her belt, it's no wonder that Aurelia is deliriously happy, but come July 28th, Aurelia will be ‘jumping for joy’ for a very different reason...

Dozens of supporters of Rainbow Trust will be falling from the sky in support of ‘Jump in July,’ one of Rainbow Trust’s newest events.

FREEFALLING to Earth is the ultimate thrill and a pure adrenaline rush. Aurelia will be embracing her inner thrill-seeker and facing her fears in a bid to raise money for the children’s charity which supports families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. She will be jumping from over fourteen-thousand feet from Lancaster and joining fundraisers all over the country in select airfields across the UK.

Aurelia says: “I’m not a huge fan of flying, so I’m pretty nervous about the prospect of jumping out of an aeroplane. It’s my first—and most likely, my only—skydive but it will be a great thrill plus it helps knowing that the money is going to such a good cause. And who knows, the experience could end up in one of my novels.”

Aurelia needs your help...

If you can spare a pound, euro, or dollar, it will make a huge difference to Aurelia's fundraising target - every little helps - and if you can help publicise Aurelia's charity skydive, it would be very much appreciated.

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity...

Rainbow Trust is a national charity that offers tailor made emotional and practical support to families with a child that has a life threatening or terminal illness. The charity relies on fundraising for 95% of its income so events like this is vital for carrying out the important work the charity does.

Rainbow Trust events manager, Judith Osorio, says: “Jump in July is a brand new challenge for Rainbow Trust supporters but it’s great to see so many thrill seekers taking it on to raise money for us. As Rainbow Trust relies almost entirely on fundraising, supporters like Aurelia are vital for us to continue our support to families when they need it most”.

Supporters are aiming to raise a minimum amount of £500 to complete the tandem sky dive, and an initial deposit of £70 is made to register and book the jump.  There are still spaces available for people wanting to take part in Jump in July. Jumpers are encouraged to jump alongside fellow supporters for a more unique experience - what better way to experience this pure adrenaline rush than with your friends or with your local community group. For more information please visit: www.rainbowtrust.org.uk/skydive or type ‘Rainbow trust sky dive’ into your internet search engine.

Aurelia is committed to raising funds and awareness for various charitable causes close to her heart. Last year she took part in the Sport Relief 3-mile fun run last year with her then 5-year old son, and followed it up with the Race for Life 5K at Tatton Park.

This year, Aurelia hung up her trainers, but she has already taken part in ‘On Yer Bike for Brain Tumours’ hosted by The Pilates Studio in Glossop; she was a volunteer at the Stockport Race For Life; and her commitment to Help For Heroes is on-going. With a tandem skydive to add to the list, the sky really is the limit, and she has already chosen brand new charity, Mummy's Star, as her beneficiary for 2014.
